B.R. Cohn Winery plays host to a variety of events throughout the year. Each fall, wine lovers and music fans flock to the B.R. Cohn Charity Events Fall Music Festival & Celebrity Golf Classic with proceeds benefiting various local charities. B.R. Cohn also hosts wine country weddings and will soon be home to a culinary center. Guest chefs will give cooking classes and demonstrations to food-loving B.R. Cohn fans, integrating B.R. Cohn olive oils and vinegars into food preparations, as well as pairing meals with B.R. Cohn award-winning wines.

Sample Belgique Chocolates

B.R. Cohn Winery is pleased to announce a Belgique Truffle Gateau tasting at the winery during Passport to Sonoma Valley. Belgique, an award-winning gourmet Belgian Chocolate confectioner, will be conducting a generous tasting of two of the nine varieties of Truffle Gateau in both dark and milk chocolate. A Truffle Gateau is a unique America-made truffle baked with delicious 100% pure Belgian dark and milk chocolate.

Visitors to B.R. Cohn will enjoy the smooth and creamy milk chocolate “Southern Pecan" Truffle Gateau paired with 2006 B.R. Cohn. Chardonnay or 2007 Grieve Family Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc. They will also sample the decadently delicious dark chocolate "Double Decadent" Truffle Gateau served alongside B.R. Cohn’s stand-out red varietals including Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, SyrCab and the Cabernet Port.

Passport to Sonoma Valley is an annual two-day, valley wide open house providing unprecedented access to wines and wineries in California’s oldest wine county.

Aroma Workshop

From the overwhelmingly positive feedback from past events we are offering a second Aroma Workshop with month..

How often have you been at a winery tasting room nosing a glass of wine, and you think I know what that aroma is, but you just can't put a name to it, even though it's on the tip of your tongue. It can be floral, citrus, woodsy, buttery, oak, vanilla or any number of familiar scents depending on the grapes used. Learn to smell the peach and the vanilla in Chardonnay, the blackberry and leather in Cabernet Sauvignon, and the strawberry and mushroom in Pinot Noir in this informal Aroma Workshop that includes a wine tasting.

Food and Wine Pairing 101

B.R. Cohn Winery and Wine Country Chefs are pleased to announce the popular program ‘Food and Wine Pairing 101’ at B.R. Cohn. Guests will be treated to an instructive cooking demonstration led by award-winning chef Todd Muir, an alumnus of Chez Panisse with over 30 years experience in the wine country, followed by a three-course gourmet meal on B.R. Cohn’s Olive Hill Estate, in the beautiful 1870’s vintage French Picholine olive groves.

Guests will learn wine and food pairing basics with the expert guidance of Chef Muir. Participants will learn about pairing seafood, Asian influenced dishes, desserts and more. Following the instruction, they will feast on the following:
